AX2013. My first anime convention ever. It was in talks about possibly attending for months and then I had given in about a month prior to the event to join Andrew, Paris, and Jessica for the convention. I was overwhelmed with the turnout with the numerous attendees and the quality and creativity of the costumes created. I hear all the time that prior years have been better and that Comicon tops AX but I was quite pleased with what I had witnessed. Here is AX2013.
